CLA has partnered with Northwest University to provide an exceptional education experience. Northwest University carries the highest accreditation available and offers certificate, associate, and bachelor degree programs.
All courses taken through Northwest University typically transfer to other public
and private colleges and universities.

courses and degrees students earn on Northwest University’s

Transfer students are welcome. Northwest University welcomes students with
previous college experience from other accredited colleges and universities (we
also consider previous credits from non-accredited institutions). Previous credits
earned count toward NU degrees.
Our partnership with Northwest University offers the following certificate and degree
- Certificate in Ministerial Leadership (30 credits)
- Associate of Arts in Ministerial Leadership (60 credits)
- Bachelor of Arts in Ministerial Leadership (120 credits)
- Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (120 credits)

Northwest University operates on a 15-week semester system, with each semester
divided into two seven-week sessions (Session A and Session B). Full-time students
take two 3-credit courses per session (four courses per semester) – plus a 3-credit,
free-of-charge ministry practicum course– for a total of 15 credits per semester. The
typical Associate’s degree takes two years for a full-time student (60 credits). The
typical Bachelor’s degree takes four full years (120 credits).

Crucial to any ministry training is a hands-on experience that effectively prepares
students for future success. Calvary Leadership Academy will provide outlets for quality
ministry learning, while also respecting student’s academic and employment schedules.
Our internship fulfills Northwest University course requirements for a ministry practicum
every semester (3 credits). These credits count toward degree completion and are
Spiritual formation is an integral aspect of Calvary Leadership Academy. Students will
be intentionally developed as leaders and ministers through ministry projects,
leadership symposiums, staff chapels and more. Our desire is that every graduate is
fully equipped (spiritually, academically, and practically) to pursue God’s call on their
CLA’s partnership with Northwest University provides significant tuition discounts.
Additionally, because Northwest University is a regionally accredited institution, its
partnership with Calvary Leadership Academy enables enrolled students to pay for their
experience using federal financial aid (based on eligibility).
